alvarfj Excellent, off kilter pop music. Favorite track: Rise.
Burial Grid
Burial Grid thumbnail
Burial Grid Ordinarily an all-covers album functions as a lame contract-fulfilling cash-grab. RtC, however scrolls along like an unusually personal, pure document of a brilliant artist's life soundtrack and subsequent development. That it was recorded, mostly impromptu, in 14 days is all the more astonishing. Favorite track: The Homosexual.

astaireboy Anyone that covers Momus captures my heart! Splendid collection of covers from some great artists with that familiar Kirin flair. Favorite track: The Homosexual.
Art Fin

Art Fin An eccentric assortment of unexpected cover songs including PiL, Ultravox, Waterboys & Laibach/Opus (cover of a cover). This LP was supposedly recorded using equipment with the price tags left on that was returned to Guitar Center after the sessions, hence the album title.
Pierre Conrad

Pierre Conrad What it's missing in one-of-a-kind songwriting (the kind only Kirin is capable of) it comes close to making up for with charm and imagination. He makes a lot of covers his own, and the ones that do closely stick to their roots are done so with terrific performances. He breathed new life into "The Whole of the Moon" and I can't believe he didn't write it despite first hearing the original many years ago. Favorite track: The Whole Of The Moon.
