Pierre Conrad This album was a lot to take in upon my initial listening sessions, but there was enough there that stuck in the back of my mind and spurred many revisits. A lot of people will be tempted to write this album off as "not serious" or a "joke album", but that's a lazy mischaracterization. It certainly plays with pop tropes but does so in a brilliant and bizarre fashion. There's also a ton of heart here. My standout track is the best example of this. "Tellin' Me This" is a masterful play at 80s balladry with some crisp production and absolutely stunning vocals. Other favorites include the title track and "Living Each Day". Stick with this album. You may find it isn't for you, and that's fine, but don't be so quick to write it off if it doesn't stick right away. Favorite track: Tellin’ Me This feat. Jorge Elbrecht.

sylvie.gloom At first I only played that record for its comedic value, but after a few listens I can fully appreciate it as a genuine artistic statement. To me there is no artist nowadays that let's his vulnerable and obnoxious side shine through in his music like Kirin which results in a truly unique experience. It's probably the least record you wanna play at your square friends' cocktail party though. Favorite track: This Whole Town feat. STAR.

yukuberi I don't think I've ever heard an album that manages to be this hilarious, beautiful, and just so unbelievably entertaining to listen to until now. I definitely get the feeling from this album that Kirin is having the time of his life while being himself and in doing so he provided me with one of my favorite albums in the past few years. I'm looking forward to seeing it live! Favorite track: Bravado.
